Ida Royal Baggett, 86, of Lillington passed on to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday night January 9, 2013 in Lillington.

She was born March 8, 1926, to Pearlie and Letha Royal in Godwin, NC. Ida was preceded in death by her husband Leonard M. Baggett; nine brothers and sisters.

After raising her family and retiring from Blue Bell Manufacturing, she spent many of her days visiting the sick and shut-ins, nursing homes and hospitals in the Lillington area. She never strayed from her faith and was a great supporter to her children, family and friends.

Ida enjoyed the outdoors and in her early years had a passion for art. She loved painting, sculpting and drawing. Many of her works are with family and friends.

Mrs. Baggett is survived by a sister, Madge Butts of Lillington; children, Anna Maria Smith of Coats; Mary Lynn Calfee of Hope Mills; Linda Smith of Wake Forest; Richard Baggett of Greenwood, SC and Mark Baggett of Lillington; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 13, 2013 at O'Quinn-Peebles Funeral Home Chapel in Lillington. Burial will follow in Blacks Chapel Cemetery in Godwin. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
