Mr. Hugh Bain, 80, of Lillington passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Edwin and Cleo Lanier Bain. In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bain; siblings, Charles Bain, Roger Bain and Lois Britt and nephew Phil Bain. He spent many joyful hours driving trucks short and long distances. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his bounty with others. Hugh was a member and Deacon of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church in Lillington.

Hugh is survived by 2 sisters, Muriel Sharpe of Grimesland, NC and Jewel Chambers of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Betty Bain of Bunnlevel, NC; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Westview Cemetery in Lillington with Dr. Roger Horne officiating. Friends are invited to visit O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM and Wednesday, November 25, 2020, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM to pay their respects to Mr. Bain. The family will not be present during this time.
