Helen Upchurch Osborne, 89 of Rougemont, formerly of Buies Creek passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Helen was born May 1, 1927 in Durham co. to the late Sallie Mae Wallace Upchurch and Dick Upchurch. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Eugene Osborne and Harold Durst; 2 brothers, Earl and Louis Upchurch; a sister, Ruth Clodfelter.

Helen loved to garden, bowl and travel. She loved spending time with family.

Helen is survived by 4 sons, Richard Osborne and wife Gerri of Rougemont, Randy Osborne of Stem, Michael Osborne and wife Dale of Rougemont and Gary Boyer of Toledo, OH; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Cotten officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon-2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Hock Family Pavilion Duke Homecare and Hospice, 4023 North Roxboro Road, Durham NC 27704.
