Mrs. Helen Marie Johnson Byrd, 83, of Bunnlevel died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Henry Avery and Lishie Wood Johnson. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by brothers, Clifton, Clarence and Melvin; sisters, Margaret and Gladys.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2011 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Rev. Timmy Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnlevel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:00-2:00 PM.

She is survived by a daughter, Kay Byrd Langdon and husband Michael of Bunnlevel; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Pauline Smith of Fayetteville; brothers, Billy Johnson of Erwin, Jerry Johnson of Coats, Preston Johnson of Erwin; several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
