Harold G. Manning, Sr. 80 of Lillington died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. He was the son of the late H.G. and Augusta Tart Manning and was preceded in death by a son, Danny Manning. Harold was self employed as a truck driver.

Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, September 14, 2012 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Jones officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Harold is survived by his wife, Nell Womble Manning of the home. Son, Harold Manning, Jr. and wife Carol of Lillington. Sisters, Rebecca Walters of Florida and Agnes Croker of Dunn. Granddaughter, Austin Johnson and husband Travis of Lillington. Great granddaughter, Karli Johnson
