Mrs. Golden Woodley Thomas, 89, of Lillington passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Emerald Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Henry Leslie Woodley and Vada Parker Woodley. Golden was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Oker Lee Thomas, infant daughter, Jane Carolyn Thomas, 2 brothers, Oscar and Devon Woodley, sister, Louise Woodley Gregory and grandson, Jamie Darroch. She was a member of Cedar Rock Presbyterian Church and later Lillington Presbyterian Church.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Shirley Bain and Rev. Dawn Stoker officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1:00-3:00 PM and other times at the home.

Golden is survived by a son, Donnie Lee Thomas and wife Sandra of Lillington, daughters, Betty Thomas Hathaway and husband Woodrow of Concord, Diane Thomas Faircloth Leonard and husband Clarence "Junior" of Asheboro, Dale Thomas Darroch of Lillington; 7 grandchildren, David Thomas and wife Chris, Christy Thomas Nicholson and husband Steven, Scott Faircloth and wife Renee, Jason Faircloth, Matthew Leonard, Karen Hathaway Mullins and husband Tim, Courtney Hathaway Beck and husband Tracy; 7 great-grandchildren, Haley Nicholson, Nicole and Isaiah Faircloth, Olivia and Victoria Faircloth, Andrew and Hannah Rose Mullins, Brittany Darroch; 3 great-great grandchildren, Bentley and Aubrey Avery, Jayme Wall; 7 step grandchildren, Chris, Scott and Eric Brantley, Timothy Oldham and Janice Oldham Gatlin, Michael and Kevin Leonard; 16 step great-grandchildren, Maggie Brantley, Isaiah and Abigayle Brantley, Marshall and Jessa Oldham, Brian and Amy Gatlin, Stephen, Nathan, Rebekah and Zachary Leonard, Chad, Matthew, Alana, Jessica, Savanna and Michayla Leonard; sister, Vickie "Lyda" Pace of Alabama.
