Mr. Glenn Messer, 75, of Lillington passed away Friday, April 22, 2016. He was born in Lillington, the son of the late Leon Messer and Frances Messer Gilbert. Glenn graduated from Lillington High School. He was a US Army veteran and a life long member of Ephesus Presbyterian Church. Glenn was an active member of the Lillington Lions Club and the Harnett County Shrine Club. He was a business partner with his best friend, Melvin Yow, at Big A Auto which later became Westside Auto Parts. Glenn enjoyed blue grass music, classic cars, NASCAR, genealogy and socializing with his friends at his store.

A funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2016 at Ephesus Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bert Pitchford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 2:00-3:00 PM and other times at the home of Lola McNeill.

Glenn is survived by his aunt, Lola McNeill of Lillington and numerous cousins.
