Glenn Martin, 89, of Mamers, NC passed away Tuesday March 15, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.

He was born January 24, 1933, in Lee County, NC to the late Sally Causey Martin and Willie Bookter Martin. Glenn was preceded in death by his daughter, Melonie Glennette O'Quinn; his brothers, Tom Martin, Bill Martin, W.B. Martin, and Cleo Martin; and his sisters, Margaret Bates and Isabel Womack.

Glenn owned Martin's Small Engine Repair operating in the Sanford and Mamers communities. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to build bird feeders and bird houses. Glenn was an avid NASCAR fan who loved to watch the races each week. Most of all, he cherished the memories shared with his loving family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Marjorie Martin of the home; his daughters, Michelle Phillips and husband John and Tammie Hand and husband Jay; his sons, Kevin Womack and wife Anna and Greg Womack and wife Stephanie; his grandchildren, Josh, Matthew, Tonya, Courtney, Jordan, Elizabeth, Trevor, Kelsey, and Kameron; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Friday March 18 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6670 Old Highway 421 in Lillington. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2PM in the church sanctuary with Pastor Rick Beacham and Pastor Martin Groover officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
