Glenda Lamonds Thomas, 71, of Bunnlevel, NC passed away Sunday February 20, 2022, at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington.

She was born August 24, 1950, in Montgomery County, NC to the late Edith Cavell Green Lamonds and William Glenn Lamonds. Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Glenn Lamonds.

Glenda graduated from Pine Forest High School with the class of 1968. She went on to earn her bachelor's degree from University of Mary Hardin–Baylor, then known as Baylor Female College. Glenda was a dedicated educator who taught Kindergarten at school systems in Texas, Georgia, and locally in Harnett County. While working in the Harnett County area, Glenda taught at South Harnett Elementary, Anderson Creek Elementary, and Overhills Elementary. She was a faithful member of Bunnlevel Presbyterian Church for many years. Glenda's hobbies included arts and crafts, sewing, painting, and shopping.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Harold James "Jim" Thomas, Jr. of the home; her son, James Kevin Thomas of Bunnlevel; her sisters, Libby Reynolds and Kaye Edge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday March 9 at 2PM at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home, 1310 S. Main Street in Lillington with Pastor Tom Brown officiating. A committal service will take place at 1PM on Thursday March 10 at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
