Miss Georgia L. Wilkins, 98, died February 10, 2016 at her home in Lillington, NC. She was born in Granville County on August 15, 1917, daughter of the late William A. and Lela Peed Wilkins.

Miss Wilkins was a charter member of Harmony Baptist Church, and the only woman elected Deacon. She retired after 49 years service as a Personnel Classification Specialist at Fort Bragg.

Visitation will be held Friday, February, 12, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Harmony Baptist Church in Bunnlevel at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2016 with Rev. Carl Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Harnett Memorial Park in Lillington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Laura Wilkins McDonald Luxton of Lillington, Susie Moye Wilkins who died in infancy and Annie Hall Wilkins Mitchell of Cary; niece, Joyce McDonald Morton of Norwood and nephew, W.E. (Gene) McDonald of Seven Lakes.

She is survived by niece, Faye McDonald Bain and husband, Edgar of Lillington; nephews, Richard Mitchell, Jr. and wife Joy of Southport and Chaplain Jeff Mitchell and wife, Edie of Baton Rouge, LA; seven great nephews, Al and Clay Bain, Aaron, Brad, Ben and Jonathan Mitchell and David Morton; four great nieces, Jennifer McDonald Harris, Lauren Mitchell, Madilyn Morton Lampley and Kay Morton; nine great-great nephews, Drew, Daniel and Canyon Bain, Luke Mitchell, Brandon and Cameron Lampley and Kyle, Nathan and Jessy Morton; six great-great nieces, Jordan and Rachel Turnbo, Kaitlin and Marlowe Mitchell, Kelley Handler and Mary Bolton.
