George James Dinsdale, 82, died October 12, 2020, in Lillington, NC.  He was born July 25, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa to George Russell and Margaret (McKinley) Dinsdale.  He graduated from Dinsdale High School in 1956.  On November 5, 1963, he married Varina (Bettenga) Dinsdale.  They continued farming on the family farm until 1989 when they moved to North Carolina.  George loved meeting new people.  He enjoyed life and making others laugh.

He is survived by his children, Dee Dinsdale of Greenville, NC, Kay (Carl) Forester of Lillington, NC and Steven (Natalie) Dinsdale of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Elizabeth (Dinsdale) Bare of Winthrop, IA; and wife Sherry Elliott of Washington, NC.

George was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Varina; an infant son, Roger; and a granddaughter, Sarah Dinsdale.
