Gennette Davis, 64 of Buies Creek died Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Wake Med Cary.

Gennette was born in Wake Co. to the late Roy Junior and Vertice Evadine McLamb Davis. Gennette was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Davis and a sister, Barbara Ann Davis.

Gennette was a member of Solid Rock Ministries of Angier. She loved to travel, go to the beach and deep sea fishing. She enjoyed doing crafts and baking. She loved spending time with her grandkids. She loved her family very much and was a very caring person.

Gennette is survived by a son, Chris Gilbert and wife Donna of Fuquay-Varina; a daughter, Kim Hernandez and husband Tony of Fuquay-Varina; 2 brothers, Johnny Davis and wife Judy and Donald Davis and wife Wendy Chriss; 2 sisters, Joyce Reynolds and Linda Davis Temple; 4 grandchildren, Michelle, Dylan, Ally and Kristina; 1 great grandson, Cole; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Gennette's home, 115 Stewart Town Road, Lillington NC 27546.
