Mr. Gary Lindsay Sykes, 62, of Sanford died Friday, January 10, 2014 at his home. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Paul Alonzo and Helen Oneta Womack Sykes. Gary worked as an electrician for Aruaco Panels in Moncure for 35 years. His hobbies included computers and gaming. Gary enjoyed family gatherings.

Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Mamers with Rev. Patrick Broaddus officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.

Gary is survived by his sister, Brenda Sykes Campbell and husband John of Liberty, NC, brother, Fred Sykes and wife Carolyn of Sanford, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, PO Box 525, Mamers, NC 27552.
