Gary Dale McKinney, 70 of Lillington died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at his home.

Gary was born June 3, 1946 in Wake Co. to the late Dallas and Faye Cobb McKinney.

Gary enjoyed reading, guns and animals. He loved his wife more than anything.

Gary is survived by his wife of 47 years, Margaret Hayes McKinney of the home; a daughter, Sonya McKinney Williford and husband Ricky of Lillington; a brother, Phil McKinney and wife Margaret of Sanford; a sister, Connie Minor of Aberdeen; 2 grandsons, Nick Williford of Fuquay-Varina and Chipper Williford of Lillington; a great granddaughter, Austyn Williford.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 P.M. in the fellowship hall at Calvary Baptist Church.
