Gail Spence, 85, of Dunn, left this earth peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family.

Gail, the daughter of the late Aldine and Howard Gregory, was born July 28, 1937 and spent her early years in Buies Creek, NC.  She was a devoted nurse for over 38 years working at Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital and with Dr. Gale Johnson.  Gail enjoyed reading, especially mystery novels, gardening, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Carvel Gregory; and sister, Betty Jean Coats; sister-in-law, Judy Gregory; brother-in-law, Demery Austin; niece, Cathy Braswell; and nephew, Walt Gregory.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Danielle Spence and husband, Delton Lineberry; granddaughter, Cassidy Spence and partner, Thomas Moore; sister, Frances Austin; brothers, Joe Gregory, and Steve Gregory and wife, Cecilia; sister-in-law, Gisela Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier, NC.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
