Frances Lee Jones Tyson, of Angier, NC died on February 16, 2016. She possessed an awesome spirit, was an exceptional wife, mother, sister, friend. She was both a cancer survivor and a cancer victim.

Frances was born in Suffolk, VA on July 1, 1946 to the late Thomas L. Jones and June Smiley Jones. She grew up in Murfreesboro, NC graduating from Murfreesboro High School in 1964. She attended Greensboro College and graduated from Meredith College in 1971. For 20 years she worked as a social worker for the disadvantaged in Raleigh and Wake County. For the last 20 years she was owner of a tax and payroll business.

Frances is survived by her husband of 39 years, William (Bill) Tyson, daughter Angela (Angie) Lee Tyson, sister Ann Lee and husband Bob, brother Thomas L Jones, Jr, sister-in-law JoAnn Jones, nephews Robert Bullock, Tyler Jones, and niece Mariah Gallop; her two well-loved dogs Lully Lee and Angus Lee.

Frances was a friend to many, quick with her humor, and a great story teller--in most of which she was a central character. A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Lillington Presbyterian Church in Lillington, NC. A visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
