Evelyn Joy Wells Nordon, 65, of Lillington passed away Thursday December 23, 2021, at Central Harnett Hospital.

She was born September 9, 1956, in Lee County, NC to the late Sarah Josephine Ellington Wells and Clifton Wells. Joy was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Wells.

Joy loved spending time outdoors caring for her garden and especially her rose bushes. She loved traveling to the Florida Keys and the beaches of North Carolina. Joy was an animal lover who adored her dog and companion Reba. Most of all, she cherished the memories shared with her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and family.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Lewis Nordon of the home; her daughters, Jamie Ingram and husband Ryan of Lillington and Angel Myatt and husband Danny of Spring Lake; her grandchildren, Aiden Ingram, Halen Ingram, Brock Thomas, and Peyton Thomas; her brothers, Richard Wells and wife Kay and Barney Wells and wife Betsy; her sister-in-law, Donna Wells; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Reba.

Due to concerns related to COVID-19, a private memorial service will be held for the family on Wednesday December 29, 2021, with Rev. Scott Yow officiating.
