Mrs. Eunice A. Stopes, 89, of Coats died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Universal Healthcare in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Kirby and Mamie Rambeau. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Leonard Mize and Arthur Stopes; sons, Lewis and James Mize and an infant daughter.

Eunice is survived by her children, Eddie Mize (Joan) of Coats, Johnnie Mize (Carol) of Raleigh, Linda Holderfield (Earl) of Coats, Gail Owens of Coats, Jerry Mize (Ann) of Dunn, Becky Williams of Clinton, Peggy Sasser (C.L.) of Greenville, SC, Roger Mize of Coats, Shelia Beaston of Lillington; daughter-in-law, Joyce Mize of Emerald Isle; 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Leaflet Presbyterian Church in Broadway. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington Saturday from 6:00-8:00 PM.
