Mr. Eugene Cameron, age 98, of Lillington died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late David P. and Nancy Stewart Cameron. Mr. Cameron was a lifelong resident of Harnett County and was a well known automobile mechanic for many years. He was an active member of Lillington Baptist Church. Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Gales Cameron and brothers, James, Archie, Neill, Duncan, Willie, Lonnie, Norman and Clarence.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, August 22, 2010 at Lillington Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 2:30-4:00 PM.

He is survived by a son, Harold Cameron and wife Brenda of Raleigh, daughter, Shirley Wicker of Lillington, grandchildren, Michael Wicker, Mark Wicker, Donna Bumgarner and Tammy Cameron, great-grandchildren, Cameron Bumgarner, Rebecca Bumgarner and Carson Biggers, brother, Gilbert Cameron of Beech Grove, IN, sister, Mary Thomas of Sanford and many nieces and nephews.
