Mrs. Estelle Johnson Burgess, 89, of Lillington passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Brookfield Retirement Center in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Eldo Harper and Berta Dean Johnson. Mrs. Burgess was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Burgess and a son, Michael Burgess. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, flowers and baking.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, October 1, 2011 at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel in Lillington with Pastor John Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, Mamers. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM.

She is survived by a daughter, Dianne Burgess Coleman and husband Linwood of Broadway, grandchildren, Patricia Coleman Adams and husband Tim of Broadway, Karen Jean Coleman of Lillington, Ashley Nicole Burgess of Holly Springs, great-grandchildren, Tanner Coleman Adams and Trace Cameron Adams, brothers, Robert Johnson and wife Joyce of Lillington, Ronald Johnson and wife Dot of Lillington, sister, Ethel Johnson Williams of Lillington,
