Emily Louise McDonald-Ventola, 85 of Lillington died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Central Harnett Hospital.

Emily was born December 26, 1930 in Queens NY to the late Emily and John Gebhardt. Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Michele' Ventola.

Emily loved to be outdoors, taking trips to the beach and gardening. She enjoyed bird watching, collecting figurines and flipping houses to make something old new again. Emily treasured each and every moment spent with her grandchildren.

Emily is survived by 5 sons, Jimmy McDonald of Willow Springs, NC, Michael McDonald and wife Beverly of Newland, NC, Patrick McDonald of Angier, NC, Kevin McDonald and wife Patty of Benson, NC and John McDonald and wife Amanda of Broadway, NC; a step-daughter, Tina Cardona of Deland, FL; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Westview Cemetery in Lillington. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
