Mrs. Emily Kathleen Stewart McKinney, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Kathleen, as she was known by, was born in Coats, NC, September 19, 1925 to Hoke and Emma Stewart. She was a very dedicated believer in Christ, and a had a profound positive influence on all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 2 pm in Grace Community Church with Pastor Brad Talley presiding. The burial will follow at Harnett Memorial Park.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Lewis McKinney; one sister; five brothers; and son-in-law, Cecil Johnson.

She is survived by sons, Jerry Lane McKinney and wife Bonnie, and Teddy Stewart McKinney and wife Gail; daughter, Annette McKinney Johnson; grandchildren, Traci McKinney, Jonathan McKinney and wife Beth, Angela McKinney Robertson and husband Chad, Heather McKinney Simmons and husband John, Matthew Stewart McKinney and wife Stephanie, Rebecca Cooper McKinney and husband Brad, Scotty Mac Johnson, William E. Dansey, III, Courtney Dansey Rogers and husband Casey; 15 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 pm on Wednesday at the church.
