Emi Jane Wiest, 12, of Holly Springs, NC, passed away at home in her dad's arms on October 7, 2022. Emi (Juyi Chen) was born in Taiwan on July 11, 2010, and adopted by the Wiest family in January of 2013. She attended Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School where she was loved and cared for so well from Kindergarten until her last week of life.

She leaves behind her parents, Chris and Georgeanna Wiest, her four siblings, Jenna, Caleb, Luke, and Andrew, and a large extended family and friends who loved her dearly.

Despite her constant health challenges, Emi never lost her joy. She was a fighter and lived life to the fullest. She loved unconditionally and fiercely, never missing an opportunity to give a hug or crawl into a lap to steal a kiss. Her presence made the world a brighter place, and she will be forever missed.

A celebration of life will take place at The Summit Church in Apex at 1pm on Monday, Oct. 10th.
