Mr. Edward Brian Collins, Sr., age 77, of Kipling passed away Friday, February 7, 2020 at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late William and Beatrice Pate Collins. Edward retired after 30 years of service with United Parcel Service. He loved spending time on the farm driving his tractor and cutting grass. Edward loved spending time with his family especially the grandchildren. He never met a stranger and will be missed by family and friends.

Edward is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hellen Black Collins of the home; daughter, Darlene Bethune and husband John of Kipling; son, Brian Collins, Jr. and wife Shelby of Angier; daughter, Lynda Gardner and husband Schel of Angier; 6 grandchildren, Michael Weaver, Danna Wilson, Michelle Gardner, Meagan Gardner, Dylan Gardner and Willie Bethune; sister, Faith Sanford of Fuquay-Varina.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the home from 2:00-5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish of Eastern NC, 3809 Computer Dr. #201, Raleigh, NC 27609.
