Miss Edith Ann Caviness, 90, of Lillington passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born May 1, 1924 in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Joseph Edward and Vera Dorman Caviness. Edith Ann, a graduate of Duke University, worked as a nurse and pharmacist for many years. She was a devoted member of Lillington Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed teaching the children and youth of the church.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM Saturday at Lillington Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Bill Goodnight officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the memorial service.

Edith Ann is survived by her sister, Veve C. Moore of Lubbock, TX, nieces, Ann Cochran of Lubbock, TX and Kathy Cook of Mt. Pleasant, SC and several great-nieces and nephews.
