Eddie Sullivan Sanders, 72, of Lillington, NC, died Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home.

Eddie was born January 30, 1951 in Raleigh, NC to the late Eddie Rose Sanders and Elizabeth Freeman.  He was graduate of NC State University and a veteran of the US Army and the US Coast Guard with over 37 years of service.  Eddie concluded his career as an advisor of students at Shaw University in Raleigh.

He is survived by his daughter, Candice Lovekamp and husband, Billy Lovekamp; two grandsons, Marcus and Nathaniel Johnson; brothers, Joseph and Michael; best friend, Kenyetta Sanders; and many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
