Mrs. Dorothy Ann Sessoms Coleman, 78, of Lillington passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Pinecrest Gardens in Lillington. She was born in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Norman Ray and Annie Ruth Bordeaux Sessoms. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Coleman; grandson, Eric Coleman; 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Dorothy worked at Lillington Baptist Church in childcare for eleven years. She also worked with the Harnett County Department of Social Services and retired after 20 years of service. Dorothy enjoyed beach trips and spending time with family and friends. She was a simple lady with a kind and giving heart. Dorothy's children and grandchildren were the center of her being.

Dorothy is survived by 2 sons, Michael Coleman of Lillington, Kevin Coleman and wife Tracy of Lillington; 5 grandchildren, Jodi Brownne and husband Taylor, Jordan Dean and husband Brett, Hunter Coleman, Kayla Coleman and Kameron Coleman; 4 great-grandchildren, Serenity Brownne, Alexandria Brownne, Kaiden Coleman and Mason Brownne; brother, Henry Sessoms and wife Pam of Bladenboro, NC; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating.
