Doris Blue Wicker Morrison, 79, of Lillington, passed away Monday, November 6, 2023 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC.

Doris was born February 15, 1944 in Lee County to the late James H. Wicker and Anna Windham Wicker.  She appreciated God's creation and loved to watch and feed the birds.  Doris loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Neill Morrison, Sr.; sister, Mary Sowders; brother, Roy Wicker; and brother-in-law, Estel Sowders.

Doris is survived by her son, Gary Neill Morrison, Jr. (Kelli); grandchildren, Jake Morrison (Megan), and Macy Morrison; great grandchildren, Connor and Caden Morrison; nieces, Darlene Currin (Tony), and Teresa Cobb; great nieces, Brittney Harrington, Jessica McLain; and great nephew, Stephen Cobb.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Cool Springs Methodist Church Cemetery, 2741 Cool Springs Rd., Lillington, NC 27546, with Rev. Barrett Payne officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
