Mrs. Doris Raynor Champion, 86, of Lillington passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Emerald Rehabilitation Center in Lillington. She was born June 6, 1928 in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Paul C. Raynor and Maude Warren Raynor. Doris was a homemaker and loved gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy B. Champion and several siblings.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2015 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Kevin Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 - 1:00 PM at the funeral home and other times at her home.

Doris is survived by her sons, Jimmy Champion (Gail), Sherrill Champion (Gloria) and Earl Champion (Jenny) all of Lillington, daughter, Diane Davis (Steve) of Raleigh, 6 grandchildren Jonathan Champion, Jeannie Gupton, Kevin Champion, Jennifer Champion, Lorrie Sessoms, Lisa Tart, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, sister, Jerrie Peterson of Raleigh.
