Donald Louis Joliet 82 of Angier died Monday, April 5, 2010 at the Comfort Longevity Center in Durham as a result of complications from ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. A native of Meadville, Pa, he was the son of the late Alford Joseph and Gertrude Elizabeth Yocum Joliet and was preceded in death by a son, David, a daughter Ruthie Joliet, and step son, Robin Kolb. Mr. Joliet was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 4 pm at O'Quinn-Peebles Chapel. The service will be conducted by Chaplain Stephen R. Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Sandhills State VA Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Survivors include his wife, Judith; his daughters, Marsha Ann Wagner and husband Robert, Jr. of Meadville, PA and Nancy Moray, also of Meadville, Susan Barickman and husband Carl Spring of Rumaey, NH; sons, Donald Joliet of Rochester, NY, and James Joliet and wife Pat of Meadville, PA. John, Paul, and Thomas Joliet, all of Meadville, PA; step-son, Lawrence Tremlett, Jr. and wife Kathy of Clarkston, MI; sisters, Harriett Palka of Meadville,PA and Judi Reed of Brookville, Fl.; a brother, Harold Joliet of Keller, TX;
31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
