Martha Dollie Mason 92, of Broadway, passed away September 4, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Harnett County to the late Walter and Lula Bennett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Freeman Mason.

Dollie is survived by her daughters Lynda Mason Bryant and Susie Buchanan (Randy); Grandchildren Chris Whitlow (Joyce) and Tabitha Whitlow; Great Grandchildren Mason Whitlow, Nathaniel Whitlow, Autumn Bell (Aaron), Ethan Martin, Brook Magill (Travis), Michaela Bardwell (Joe), and Catheryne Truitt (JT); Great Great Grandchildren Addison, Chance, Isabella, Aubrey, Travis, Axel, Knox, Elliott, and Charlotte; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dollie was a hardworking and caring woman who spent more than 40 years as a seamstress with Koury Company in Sanford. She took great pride in her work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She also made biscuits for the Boone Trail Grill, sharing her homemade goodness with those around her, and lovingly cared for children as a babysitter.

A lifelong member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church, Dollie’s faith and love for others were an important part of her life. She taught Sunday school for more than 30 years, sharing her faith and wisdom with generations of children. She also spent countless hours making things to sell at the church’s Harvest Sale, generously giving her time and talents to support her church and community.

Through her many years of work, faith, and service, Dollie touched the lives of countless people. She will be remembered for her kind heart, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, generosity, and the warmth and love she so freely shared with everyone around her. Her life was a beautiful example of caring for others and giving of herself, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 P.M. to 3:45 P.M. Sunday, September 6, 2026, at the Spring Hill United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Lillington. A funeral service will follow in the Fellowship Hall at 4 P.M. Burial will take place at the Holder Family Cemetery.
