Mr. Dewey A. Hall, 85, of Lillington passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late Archie D. and Annie Laura Carter Hall. Dewey was a US Navy veteran. He lived in Asheville for over ten years and worked for NCI as a machinist. Dewey also worked for Tracor Aerospace/BAE Systems in Lillington as a machinist. He loved to camp and fish at his pond in Olivia. Dewey enjoyed spending time with his family especially the grandchildren.

Dewey is survived by his wife, Joanne Hall of the home; step-daughter, Cindy Coleman and husband Jimmy of Lillington; step-son, Scott Fore and wife Jennifer of Waxhaw; daughter, Holly H. Rainey; son, Terry Hall of Olivia; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret H. Altman and husband Alan of Olivia; 4 brothers, Sam L. Hall and wife Mollie of Olivia, Vaugus Wayne Hall and wife Sarah of Carolina Beach, Aubrey Felix Hall and wife Jamie of Sanford and Jerome "Romy" Hall and friend Verna Hancock of Olivia.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 23, 2017 at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel with Rev. Vaugus Wayne Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM and other times at the home.
