Denise Worthington of Moore County, passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior at her home in Lillington, NC, Monday July 17, 2023.

Denise was born April 26, 1956, in Cumberland County to George Epps and Joyce Smith.  She attended Union Pines High School and graduated Valedictorian Class of 1974.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BBA from Campbell University; she also held a BS degree in Accounting and Finance from NC State University.  Over the years, Denise's work career encompassed Moore Regional Hospital (First Health), Seterus, IBM Global, and various other business and medical related endeavors.

Denise was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Epps.

She is survived by her parents, Joyce Smith and George Epps; daughters, Kristen Hannon (Matt), and Casey Worthington; sisters, Vicky Epps (Dennis Brown), Delores Nicely and Ellen Hollowell; grandchildren, Chase, Casey, and Evan; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
