Delores Wiley, 89, of Lillington passed away Thursday July 8, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Edna Moechnig of Millville, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William "Bill" Wiley; sister Marlys Larson of Minnesota; brothers Wayne and Wally Moechnig of Minnesota; and grandson John Tripp, Jr of Sanford, NC.

She is survived by daughter Debbie Suggs (Craig) of Cameron, son Gary Wiley of Lillington, son Terry Wiley (Shelia) of Lillington,  daughter Gail Hobbs (Rodney) of Bunnlevel; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Delores was a master cookie baker.  She loved cooking and gardening, canning, crocheting, and loved spending time with her family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday night July 13, from 6:00-8:00 pm at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Fuquay-Varina.  Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery.

In accordance with current North Carolina COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home requests that everyone in attendance practice social distancing.  Facial masks are to be worn during visitation and funeral service.
