Mrs. Delilah "Dee" Strickland Kelly, 80, of Linden passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late C.A. Strickland and Etta Mae Jernigan Strickland. She drove a school bus for Cape Fear Christian Academy. Mrs. Kelly retired from the US Postal Service as Postmaster of Coats. After retiring, she worked as the Secretary for Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Kelly, daughter, Susan Hartman and sister, Jacqueline Strickland.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church in Bunnlevel with Rev. Paul Fowler and Rev. Dan Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in Bunnlevel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home Saturday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at her home.

She is survived by her daughter Carol K. Bain and husband Reggie of Bunnlevel; son, Carl A. Kelly and wife Sue of Fayetteville; son-in-law Rodney Hartman and wife Karen; 9 grandchildren, Stephanie H. Robbins and husband Jonathan, Emily Hartman, Jake Strickland, Haley Strickland, Matthew Bain and wife Lauren, Jason Kelly, Amy Nicole Kelly, Johnny Haney, June DePue and husband Shayne; 7 great grandchildren, Dominick, Haven and Elizabeth Haney, Isaiah, Zoe and Lily DePue and William Robbins.
