Mr. Dayton A. Herring, 50 of Lillington died Monday, April 4, 2011. Mr. Herring was a native of Limestone, Maine. He moved to North Carolina in 1974 and worked with Big E. Enterprise in Hope Mills for the past 6 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline O'Bar Herring and a brother, Henry Wayne Herring.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Lillington Baptist Church, other times at the home of Earl Herring.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Sandra Renshaw Herring; 2 Sons, Allen and Alex Renshaw of the home; Step Son, Alton Renshaw and wife Katie of Lillington; Father, Earl Herring and wife Anita of Kipling; 2 Brothers, David Herring of Killeen, Texas, Gene Herring of Knightdale; 2 Sisters, Rhonda Diane Wilkes of Lillington, Cindy Ann Herring of Lillington
