Mr. David Eugene Johnson, 46, of Lillington died Friday May 15, 2020 at his home. He was born in Cumberland County, the son of Brenda Coleman Johnson and the late Robert Eugene Johnson. David volunteered as a moderator with the online chat room, Disabilities R Us. He was a dedicated advocate for people with disabilities. He loved spending time with his family, especially Carly and his grandchildren.

David is survived by his daughter, Carly Johnson, and fiancé Andrew Gong of Dunn; 2 grandchildren, Alaina Rose Gong and Evelyn Jade Gong; mother, Brenda Coleman Johnson of Lillington; brother, Bryan Johnson of Lillington; mother of their child, Pamela Ammons Johnson of Dunn.

A private memorial service will be held for the family at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Chapel. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance will be limited to family.
