Mr. David Chambers, Jr., 75, of Lillington passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. He was born in Hall County, GA, the son of the late U.V. and Dessie Jarrard Chambers. David was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He operated and later co-owned Augusta Wholesale Florist for 25 years. David worked as a security guard at Central Carolina Holdings in Cameron for 5 years. He was an avid guitar player and enjoyed country music. David was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Powell of Appling, GA and brother, Ronnie Chambers of Grovetown, GA.

David is survived by a son, Robert Chambers and wife, Shannon of Augusta, GA; son, Joey Chambers of Lillington; daughter, Tanya Chambers Davis and husband, Anthony of Lillington; 4 grandchildren, Taylor Wilson and husband, Dustin, Rachael Davis, Dalton Davis and Landon Davis; future great-grandson, Asher Wilson; sisters, Bonnice Horne and husband, Earl of Augusta, GA; Sadie Key and husband, Allen of Keysville, GA; Lunearl Geddings of Atlanta, GA; Patricia Arnette of Augusta, GA.

A memorial service will be conducted 4:00 PM Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Lillington with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Tanya and Anthony Davis.
