Mr. David M. Brown, 74, of Raleigh, formerly of Buies Creek, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Kindred Hospital-Greensboro. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Dr. Millard R. and Dorothy Crane Brown. David was a graduate of Campbell College where he studied English literature and education. Literature and the love of history was his passion. He loved cars and watching NASCAR. David also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brother, Roger.

David is survived by his brother, Roger P. Brown of Fuquay-Varina; 3 cousins, Robert C. Brown, Sylvia Haley and Linda (Brown) Adams.

A private burial will take place at a later date in Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Dunn.
