Mrs. Daphine Weaver, 93, of Lillington passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. She was born in Wake County, the daughter of the late Jessie James and Lecter King Taylor. Daphine was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church in Mamers where she also taught Sunday school.
She was an administrative assistant at Campbell University where she worked for the Dean of the College of Business. Daphine loved flowers, gardening and traveling. Daphine was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Jones.

Daphine is survived by her husband of 68 years, Marvin Weaver of the home; son, Bryan Weaver and wife, Vickie of Cary; 2 grandsons, David Weaver and wife Jennifer, Jonathan Weaver and wife, Alex; great-granddaughter, Vivienne Weaver; brother, James Taylor, Jr and wife Betty of Raleigh.

A funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church, 6670 Old US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC 27546 with Rev. Patrick Broaddus officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
