Mrs. Daphine Wilder Crews, 96, of Lillington died Thursday, March 10, 2016 at her home. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Malon C. Wilder and Lura Mann Wilder. Daphine was a graduate of Lillington High School and Campbell College. She worked as a banker for 45 years, retiring from Bank of America. Daphine was an active member of Lillington Baptist Church and served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She lived a vibrant life and loved her hometown.

Daphine was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Penn Crews, Jr.; brother, Winston Hayes Wilder and 3 sisters, Melrose Blette, Lynette McKenzie and Rochelle Fulton.

Daphine is survived by a daughter, Meredith A. Crews Jacobs and husband, Charles "Chick" of the home, granddaughter, Emory Caroline Jacobs of the home.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Lillington Baptist Church with Dr. John Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
