Mr. Dannie McNeill, Jr., 67, of Lillington, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020.

Dannie was born October 19, 1952, in Lee County to the late Dannie and Velma McNeill.  Dannie was retired from Goodyear Tire after 40 years of service.  He enjoyed his Tar Heel basketball, classic Mopar cars, gardening and bluegrass and country music.  Most of all, Dannie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Private family funeral services will be held.

Dannie was preceded in death by a sister, Loretta McNeill.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara; three daughters, Dana McPherson and husband, Jason, of Vass, Heather Heuer and husband, Jack, of Mars Hill, and Allison McNeill and boyfriend, Ricky, of East Bend; three grandchildren, Jace McPherson, Ella McPherson, and Josie Heuer; sister, Lavada Blackmon of Lillington; two brothers, Dwight McNeill and wife, Cathy, and Randy McNeill and wife, Kathy, all of Lillington; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
