Daniel "Danny" Raymond Lafon, 71, of Bunnlevel, formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away quietly Saturday morning, May 5, 2018. Daniel moved to NC with his wife, Mary, in April, 2011. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a lifetime member of Aerie 555, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Daniel is survived by his stepchildren, William J. Doyle (Susan) of Bunnlevel, NC; Diana Doyle Steinmetz of Asheville, NC; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Esther Doyle Lafon and stepchildren Stephen C. Doyle and Georgia E. Doyle.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington. A graveside service at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 N. Mantua Street, Kent, Ohio will be conducted at a later date.
