Retired US Air Force MSgt Curtis Ray Temple, 67, of Bunnlevel, passed away Saturday, August 04, 2018.

Curtis was born June 7, 1951, in Harnett County to the late Robert and Cleo Temple. He served in the US Air Force for 20 plus years before retiring. Afterwards, Curtis worked in various sales jobs. Curtis was an accomplished musician who could sing and play guitar and banjo. He sang with a local quartet, Fortress and an octet, One Voice.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 3 pm at Flat Branch Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michael Armistead presiding. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors.

Curtis was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Temple and his sister, Margie Deckard.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Betty Temple; son, Bryan Pittman (Anna) of Archdale; sister, Beverly Gregory (Glenn) of Bunnlevel; two nieces, Kim Haase and Nikki Cauley; and three nephews, Jerry Robert Temple, Chris Deckard and Brandon Gregory.

Following the burial, the family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
