Mr. Curtis Ray Parker, 60, of Lillington died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at his home. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Lawrence Curtis Parker and Hortense Davis Parker. Ray worked as a general contractor and later as a bridge engineer. He enjoyed playing golf with his son, Landis, going to the movies and loved rock n roll.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Mamers with Rev. Patrick Broaddus and Rev. Dan Deaton officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.

Ray is survived by mother, Hortense Parker of Lillington, son, Landis Parker of Hendersonville, 2 sisters, Jeanette Wester and husband Gwyn of Lillngton and Carolyn Sykes and husband Fred of Broadway, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
