Wm. Curtis Parker 79 of Bunnlevel died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the VA Hospital in Durham.

Curtis was born October 11, 1936 in Harnett Co. to the late Alderman Parker and Marie Byrd Parker. Curtis was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce C. Parker; and his beloved dog Zak.

Curtis was in the US Navy aboard the USS Lake Champlain. He was a master carpenter who loved doing wood work and oil painting. He was retired and enjoyed life and spending time with his family.

Curtis is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betsy Parker of Bunnlevel; a daughter, Pam Chambers of Erwin; a son, Jeff Parker and wife Stephanie of Maitland, FL; a sister, Helen Strickland of Erwin; 5 grandchildren, Douglas Perkins, Kelsey Parker, Cortney Parker, Nicholas Chambers and Haley Chambers; and 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Harnett Memorial Park with Rev. Dan Deaton officiating. The family requests everyone to wear casual clothes.
