Mr. Clyde Walker Dennis, 74, of Lillington passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at his home. He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Armor Wright and Fannie O'Quinn Dennis. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret White, Ellen Upchurch, Eyvone Womack Bogan; brothers, Wayne Dennis, Armor Wright Dennis, Jr., Billy Dennis and Jimmy Dennis.

Clyde was lifelong resident of Lillington. He worked at Champion Homes as a cabinet builder and retired after 40 years of service. Clyde was a gifted artist who painted many pictures and enjoyed woodworking. He was a humble and loving man who always met you with a smile.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 55 years, Henrietta McIntyre Dennis of the home; daughter, Stephanie Thomas of Lillington; granddaughter, Chloe Thomas of Lillington; sisters, Anita Dezso of Lillington and Jewel Damon of Sanford; brother, Ralph Dennis of Lillington; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, September 12, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robbie O'Quinn officiating. The family will receive friends at the home. Friends and family are welcomed to sign the register book and pay their respects Monday from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM at O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home.
