Mrs. Clarice McDaniel, 84, of Sanford died Monday, July 30, 2012 at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford. She is the daughter of the late Johnny and Mary Jane Owen and was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie McDaniel and a grandson Todd Edward Markwell.

Graveside service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 2, 2012 at McDaniel Family Cemetery in Sanford with Rev. Ken Smith officiating.

She is survived by daughters Sonja DeMoss of Indiana, Ida Nicholson and husband Robert of Indiana, Deborah Fraizer of Florida, Mary Kathleen Markwell of Sanford, Shirley McDaniel of Sanford; sons, Benjamin Markwell and wife Melanie of Indiana, Johnnie Markwell and wife Kara of Indiana, Roy Markwell and wife Terry of Indiana, Steve Markwell of Sanford, Dennis Markwell of Sanford, Ricky Markwell of Indiana; sister, Edith Miller of Woodbury, TN; 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
