Mr. Clarence B. Smith, 73, of Lillington, died at his home Wednesday, September 1, 2010.  He was born in Lee County, the son of the late Roy Lynwood and Rosa Banton Smith, the seventh born of eight children. Mr. Smith worked with Champion Homes as a quality control manger for many years. He was a member of Cool Springs United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Mr. Smith enjoyed helping with the Harvest sale, repairing and maintaining the church and singing in the choir.

A graveside service will be 4:00 PM Saturday, September 4,2010 at Cool Springs United Methodist Church cemetery in Mamers with Rev. Ramon Atkins officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Honeycutt Smith of the home, son, Danny B. Smith of Lillington, brothers and a sister.
