Obituary

Christopher Shannon Jackson went home to Jesus on March 11, 2021 at age 46.

Chris was born to Ann Jackson Parker and the late Henry Carroll Jackson on March 19, 1974 in Dunn, North Carolina.

Chris married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Vivian V. Jackson on May 30, 1992, and together they had two children, Christina and Elizabeth (Lilly), who were his pride, his joy and his heart.

In addition to being a dedicated and loving husband, father and son, Chris was a staunch patriot, having served honorably in the United States Army Reserves. He was employed at Arauco in Moncure for the last ten years. He loved fishing, especially with his mom and his brothers-in-law Jason and C.J.; and family time with his daughters and many nieces and nephews to whom he was always the favorite uncle. Chris had an adventurous spirit that he loved to share with his family on their many adventures in the outdoors, especially the North Carolina mountains which he loved.

Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God which guided his footsteps on the journey of his life.

Chris is survived by his wife, Vivian of Erwin; his daughters Christina of Boulder Colorado and Elizabeth of Buies Creek, North Carolina; his mother Ann J. Parker and step-father JQ Parker of Four Oaks; step-brothers John Parker (Christy) of Four Oaks, Jason Parker(Christina) of Four Oaks, and many other close family members. Chris was a humble and gentle man who is dearly loved and dearly missed, but his spirit of adventure, of family, and of faith remains with all of us who loved him.

Chris will be available for viewing at O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home in Lillington, North Carolina on Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and a memorial book will be available. Due to COVID-19 protocols, the family will not be present. Additionally, due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Dunn, North Carolina followed by a private interment at Erwin Memorial Park.

Remembrances may be sent to Vivian Jackson, 111 Iris Bryant Rd., Erwin, North Carolina. Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dunn, North Carolina, or The American Diabetes Association.
